Vigilance books Nishat resident for illegal construction

Despite restraining orders the resident raised five storied building for a school

Srinagar: Vigilance Organisation Kashmir (VOK) booked a resident of Nishat Sringar for constructing a building without permission, and adding more stories to it despite restraining orders from court.
A statement issued by the VOK said that Abdul Rahim Bhat and his sons Manzoor Ahmad Bhat and Altaf Ahmad Bhat, residents of Brain Manzgam Nishat Srinagar constructed a two-storied building without permission from the LAWDA, and also violated the orders of Municipal Magistrate Srinagar passed on 31-12-2013 restraining the subject from raising any further construction.
Despite the restraining orders from the court, the accused added three more stories to the building raising in all five stories, wherefrom a private school under the “Kong Posh High School” is now operating, the VOK said.
“After conclusion of enquiry into the allegation, the commission and omission on part of the officers/officials of LAWDA and beneficiaries prime-facia offices punishable 5(1)(d) read with 5(2) P.C Act Svt. 2006 section 120-B, RPC and accordingly a case FIR NO. 27/2017 of PS VOK has been registered and further investigation has been taken into motion,” the statement said
