State Football League 2017: Safallo FC beat Young Iqbal FC by 4-0

 

In the ongoing State Football League, three matches were played at Polo Ground and Synthetic Turf TRC venues on Tuesday (September 26) in which two ended in a draw while in the third Safallo FC defeated Young Iqbal FC by 4-0.

In the first A-Division match, played at Polo Ground, Fort View FC played a goalless draw with Al Bilal FC. Both the team got several chances to score but wasted all those and the 0-0 score line at the end of the match was a fair result for both the teams.

In Super-Division match played at Synthetic Turf TRC, Safallo FC thrashed Young Iqbal FC by four goals to nil. Zubair opened the account for the winning team in 33rd minute of the match while Altaf Rashid scored back-to-back goals in 40th and 48th minute. Javid Ahmad scored the fourth goal for Safallo Team and closed the chances of any comeback for the opposition team. In the remaining part of the match, no further goals were scored by either of the teams and the match ended 4-0 in favour of Safallo FC.

In the Premier-Division match, also played at Synthetic Turf TRC, J&K Bank XI played a goalless draw against J&K Police XI. As both the teams are considered as power houses of J&K football, a large number of spectators had come to witness the match. However, both the teams couldn’t score in the allotted 90-minutes of the match though both got several scoring opportunities. Mansoor Ahmad of J&K Police was declared as footballer of the match for his performance.
