Restrictions imposed in north Kashmir’s Sopore

Srinagar: Authorities on Wednesday imposed restrictions under section 144 in two police station areas in Sopore town of Baramulla district.
Official sources said that restrictions have been put in place to “maintain law and order”.
Local sources told Kashmir Reader that government forces have been deployed heavily in the town to prevent protests.
They said that restrictions on the movement of people have been imposed day after former Hizbul Mujahideen commander Abdul Qayoom Najar was killed in Uri near LoC.
Qayoom was a resident of Mumkak area of the Apple town where normal life has come to a stand still.
