JKLF grieved over demise of Yousuf Zargar, pays tributes

SRINAGAR: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has expressed heartfelt grief over the demise of Muhammad Yousuf Zargar who breathed his last in Muzafarabad on Friday.
Muhammad Yousuf Zargar was a close associate of JKLF founding leader Muhammad Maqbool Butt, a party spokesperson said in a statement.
Terming Zargar’s demise as a “great loss for freedom struggle”, JKLF chairman said his sacrifices and struggle will always be remembered.
A condolence meeting was on Saturday held at JKLF head office here in which many leaders and activists participated. During the meeting, the struggle and sacrifices of the deceased were discussed and glorious tributes were paid to the departed soul. A congregation prayer meeting was also held for the deceased.
Meanwhile, JKLF’s incarcerated district president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya), whose PSA was quashed by High Court recently, has been arrested and lodged at police station, Ganderbal, the statement said.
