SRINAGAR: Kashmir Young Journalists Association on Friday condemned the misbehaviourof SMHS doctor with a female journalist.
In a statement issued today, the Association took exception to the behaviour of a doctor at SMHS Hospital, who did not allow journalist Rabiya Bashir, who works with The Kashmir Monitor to do her duty.
“When I entered Ward No 15, Dr Saleem Iqbal shouted at me and said, what are you doing here? Get out from here? What will you journalists do?” Rabiya said.
She said she had gone to the SMHS hospital to meet the victims who sustained injuries in Tral blast on Thursday.
KYJA has sought the intervention of Medical Superintendent, SMHS and Principal GMC.
KYJA wants hospital authorities to come clear on the incident and take action against the accused doctor and ensure that journalists are allowed to do their duty.
