Srinagar: Meager earthquake shocked the valley Kashmir on Saturday, official sources said.
According to India Meteorological Department, the earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 occurred at 5:44 a.m. local time.
“The epicentre of today’s earthquake was in Jammu and Kashmir region located at 34.0 degrees north latitude and 74.7 degrees east longitude,” the information released by India Meteorological Department said. “The depth of the earthquake was 150 km.”
No reports of damage were received from any part of the valley.
