Trooper killed along LoC in Kupwara

Baramulla: An army soldier was killed on Wednesday during exchange of firing between India and Pakistan forces along the Line of Control in north Kashmir’s Keran village in Kupwara, police said.
An official said that troopers belonging to 5/9 GR unit were on patrol when they came under fire from Pakistan side near the Pimple Post in Keran resulting in injury to a trooper. He said the wounded soldier was airlifted to army’s Srinagar hospital where a trooper identified as Rajash Khatri succumbed to his injuries.
