Soldier injured in sniper fire by Pak on LoC in Keran: Army

Srinagar: An army soldier was critically injured in a ‘sniper fire’ by Pakistan Rangers at Keran sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday.
A senior police officer told news agency GNS that Pakistan Rangers in “violation of ceasefire” opened the sniper fire at 5/9 GR unit of the army near ‘Pimple post’ in Keran sector along the LoC. One soldier identified as Rajesh Khatri was critically injured and was airlifted to army’s 92-base hospital at Badamibagh, the officer said.
He said that army retaliated the fire and intermitted firing was going on in the area. (GNS)
