SRINAGAR: The J&K High Court Bar Association, Srinagar, on Monday abstained from work to express solidarity with the family of Bashir Ahmad Bhat who passed away after a spell of illness.
In a statement, Bar said, “Immediately after hearing about the demise of the advocate, (the) Bar members assembled in the (court) complex and paid rich tributes to the deceased soul. The members thereafter went to the deceased’s residence and later (on) participated in the funeral prayers which (were) attended (and) lead by the Bar President.”
“The deceased advocate was a noble soul. Everyone appreciated and admired his character and contribution to the legal field,” the statement said, adding the Bar members prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to his family members to bear the irreparable loss.
