HM ‘recruiter’ nabbed in Baramulla

Baramulla: Baramulla police claimed to have arrested an over-ground worker Ishtiaq Ahmed Wani who was wanted for allegedly motivating and instigating young boys of Pattan and Palhallan areas to join Hizbul Mujahideen.
Due to continuous pressure by police and other security agencies most of the militants who were active in north Kashmir have been neutralized because of which the controllers of Hizb from across and within Kashmir are trying to accelerate the recruitment process in this area, police sources said.
The Baramulla police recently saved around 10 boys meant to be inducted in militant ranks and were handed over to their parents. Out of these ten boys four boys were motivated by Wani to join the ranks of HM outfit.
Case FIR No 165 /2017 under sections of 13 Unlawful Activities Prevention Act and sec 506 RPC has been registered in Police Station Pattan and investigation has been taken up.
