Army soldiers resort to aerial firing in Anantnag

Srinagar: Army soldiers on Thursday resorted to aerial firing to disperse the students of a private school and other protesters in Wanpoh Anantnag on Srinagar-Jammu highway after an altercation with school bus driver.
Local sources said that the trouble started between army soldiers and driver of the local private educational institute, Shemford School.
Witnesses told Kashmir Reader that soldiers thrashed the school bus driver followed by protests of the students.
They said as the protest intensified and locals also started raising hue and cry against army the soldiers resorted to aerial firing.
Locals alleged that army soldiers also beat some students.
Protests were going on in the area when reports last came in.
