SRINAGAR: Drug and Food Testing laboratory in Srinagar is yet to install inductively coupled plasma mass spectrophotometer (ICP-MS) despite assuring the court that it would be installed within two to three days from the date of hearing of a case related to it.
The officers had on July 29 deposed before the court that the ICP-MS would be installed. However, the laboratory missed the deadline. The officials at the laboratory said there were technical issues in delay in the installation while the officials were being trained to handle the equipment that is used to test the quality of eatables and check impurities or toxic content in them.
