AS college beat GDC Sumbal by 9 wkts


SRINAGAR: Amar Singh College beat Government Degree College Sumbal by nine wickets in the Yousuf Memorial t20 cricket tournament match played at Islamia College of Science and Commerce (ICSC) ground on Tuesday.
Batting first after winning the toss GDC Sumbal opted to bat first and the decision to bat first back fired as they were bundled out for 120 runs only in 25 overs, except Javaid Ahangar (47) none of the GDC batsmen were able to put a decent show with bat. For A S College team Owais and Adil were pick of bowlers claiming four and three wickets respectively.
In reply A S College batsmen achieved set target of 121 inside 12 over’s only with Asif Ramzan scoring unbeaten 47 and Fazil 43 runs.
On Wednesday GDC Bijbehara will lock horns with GDC Ganderbal and on Thursday the host college will play against GDC Baramulla.
The tournament is organised by the department of Physical Education of ICSC
