KULGAM: District Magistrate, Kulgam, Talat Parvez Rohella, along with Superintendent of Police, Shridhar Patel, On Sunday co-chaired a meeting of concerned officers to assess the security scenario and disaster management preparedness in the district.
After threadbare discussions on the subject and action plans formulated by the concerned, the DM and SP urged upon the officers to explore all efforts to revert the “miss-guided youth to normal life”. It was enjoined upon all government agencies that joint efforts were needed to ensure congenial atmosphere in the district.
It was further stressed upon all SHOs to identify “the miscreants involved in law and order disturbance”, a statement issued by information department said.
With regard to the disaster management preparedness in the district, the civil administration, police and paramilitary forces were called on to extend all possible support to the people during any such eventuality.
The DM directed the officers of SDRF to prepare an action plan about disaster mitigation in consultation with the concerned security agencies. He was also directed for to appointing more VHGs to meet the requirement of manpower during disasters.
Officers from civil, police, other security agencies and SDRF were present in the meeting.
