Handwara: Chief Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed inaugurated a conference hall at district court complex Baramulla on Thursday in the presence of minister of law and justice Abdul Haq Khan.
The chief justice also inspected the functioning of the court. He impressed upon the concerned to further augment the existing infrastructure and desired timely completion of all the ongoing works at the courts. During his interaction with bar members he exhorted upon the lawyers to render all assistance to the judge in dispensation of administration of justice. He assured them that their demands would be looked into and redressed on merits.
Talking to media Justice Durrez said that his priority is to make functioning of district courts in Kashmir comparable to best courts in India.
He said with the latest technology the focus is to run all courts with full facilities of technology. He said with the help of NJDG application “we will able to check all the details of every case online”.
Asked about juveniles, the Chief Justice said that they were trying to help them under the law.
He also visited Kaman Post Uri and inaugurated a new Munsif court complex in Boniyar Uri and a chamber for lawyers in Baramulla.
