SRINAGAR: The newly-appointed assistant professors in the higher education department have been asked to submit their research papers for publication in a departmental magazine within a deadline of two days. The principals of degree colleges have been directed to inform the new recruits and they would be held responsible for any lapse in this regard. The principal secretary higher education Asgar Samoon has circulated his email address for receiving the articles for publication.
“All government degree college principals may ensure today that all newly appointed assistance professors (faculty wise) working in their respective GDCs may mail their fresh research papers (at least one, not published earlier) on firstname.lastname@example.org for publication in ‘ Edu Plus’ journal by higher education department (July –September issue) latest by August 12, 2017,” the circular reads.
“Principals who do not inform their newly appointed faculty shall be held responsible for ignoring the order,” the order reads further.
The circular has irked the newly appointed collage faculty. Iqra Jan, a new recruit said that she cannot submit research paper within two days. “It is impossible to prepare a research paper within two days. Within this short span, this can be done only through plagiarism and copying the content from internet,” she said.
“The research means thorough study and compilation of documents. If professors are forced to submit their research papers with shot span of time, it would not be quality research paper,” she said.
