SRINAGAR: Chief of Karwaan-e-Islami International Moulana Ghulam Rasool Hami has said strategies and policies are being implemented to abolish the special status of the State. This, he said, is done “with the help of political and governmental power”.
Hami made these remarks while addressing a public gathering at Repora, Ganderbal. He said some people for their personal gain are providing a cover to these policies. “Earlier, they implemented GST and now are trying to abolish the special status of (Jammu and) Kashmir. Time has come that people unite and stand to protect their rights,” he said.
“We all have to follow the path (shown by) Allah and Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) to achieve success,” he said. He said the campaign launched by Karwan-e-Islami against alcohol and drugs will be intensified.
Hami rued the silence maintained by world human rights organisations on Kashmir where “innocent people are killed every day”. He also stressed upon unity among Muslims all over the world.
