Srinagar: The prevailing weather conditions can be attributed to a Western Disturbance which was seen prevailing over Jammu and Kashmir region. Moreover, the axis of Monsoon trough is also seen running from North Pakistan via Amritsar, Skymetweather predicted on Tuesday.
Now, the Western Disturbance is likely to move away from the region. Due to this, a slight decrease in the rainfall activities is possible over the entire northern hills of India during the next 24 hours but moderate to heavy rains will continue.
However, the axis of Monsoon trough is likely to move towards North. Due to this, rains and thundershowers of heavy intensity are likely in southern districts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Also, moderate showers along with few heavy spells at many places are possible between August 10 and 12.
