Jammu: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary said on Monday that the Pakistani army violated the ceasefire agreement by firing at Indian posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district on Sunday night.
He said that Pakistani forces violated the ceasefire in the Baba Khori belt of Naushera sector.
According to reports, Pakistani troupes resorted to shelling and firing in forward areas along the LoC.
Pakistan violated the ceasefire by firing at Indian posts along the LoC in Kalsia belt of Rajouri district on July 31. On July 30, Pakistani forces had violated the ceasefire by firing from light weapons and medium machine guns in the Baba Khori belt of Naushera sector.
Meanwhile, Pakistani troops also violate ceasefire in Uri sector of Kashmir by opening fire towards Indian posts.
A soldier was wounded in a ceasefire violation in Silikoot area of Uri sector in north Kashmir on Monday evening, Army sait that the solider has been moved to hospital for treatment Army said.
