SRINAGAR: Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has been released from central jail Srinagar.
A party spokesperson in a statement issued here said the principal sessions judge Srinagar ordered Malik’s release on Friday. JKLF chairman was arrested on July 21 from Dalgate along with party’s vice-chairman Mushtaq Ajmal and Ghulam Muhammad Dar. He said Tehsildar Srinagar (south) sent Malik, Ajmal and Dar to 5 day remand and extended it till August 5. “JKLF through its lawyers challenged the illegal orders of Tehsildar in the court of principal sessions judge who yesterday set aside the orders of Tehsildar saying they were not in accordance with the law and are liable to be set aside,” he said.
