Anantnag: Terming the operation in Hakripora a “clean operation but for the civilian killing”, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Munir Khan, said that the civilian killing was regrettable.
“The people try to disrupt operations on behest of militants, be it coercion or threats. Despite our repeated warnings and requests, people come between the operating parties and the militants,” Khan said, adding that the same thing had happened Tuesday morning at Hakripora.
He, however, said that protests would not deter the forces and the operations would continue. “Pelting or no pelting, disruptions or no disruptions. Whenever we are going to get inputs, an operation is going to be carried out,” he said.
