BUDGAM: Home Secretary, Rajiv Mehrishi Monday visited the training centre of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra Yojna (PMKKY) in central Kashmir’s Budgam district to assess the on-going training imparted to the hundreds of young trainees under the scheme.
Mehrishi, who stressed on the effective functioning of the training centre for the Kashmiri youth, had a thorough interaction with the staff and students undergoing training at centre under the central government’s initiative to enhance the skills of youth.
During his interaction with the students at Orion Edutech PMKKY Budgam, the students informed the home secretary that they training has helped them to enhance their skills for the dignified livelihood.
The students also urged the home secretary to open more such training centres under the PMKKY in different parts of the Valley for the benefits of the unemployed youth.
The Home secretary along with other official met the staff of the centre where they also sought the inputs about the on-going programme.
While the staff was fully satisfied with the working of scheme, the suggested some measures for improvement. The delegation later posing the complete satisfaction over the functioning of centre and its dividends reaching out to the left out youths of remote regions of Kashmir assured complete support to staff in making it successful.The delegation also encouraged PMKKY regional head Tanveer Qureshi for his tireless efforts to run the centre successfully
