SRINAGAR: Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) on Sunday said the “arbitrary” statements by chief minister Mehbooba Mufti since past week has “revealed that she is “frustrated and trying everything to save her chair”.
“Once she said the youth are being paid to throw stones and now she is saying Kashmiri youth want resolution of Kashmir issue and are not afraid of anyone. Similarly, she had said that external intervention (of Pakistan and China) was responsible for the situation in Kashmir and now is saying that all Kashmiris have been caged and this is why situation is tense here,” DeM general secretary, Nahida Nasreen, said in a statement. “All these contradictory statements suggest that this woman is frustrated now and feeling that her chair is in danger.”
She said Mehbooba “can go to an extent for the lust of power and authority”. “The videos are still available online in which she used to say that Kashmiris can never vote for BJP but later on, this greedy woman joined hands with the same party. Her lust for power can make her do anything,” she said.
Nasreen added, “Kashmiris know that every pro-India politician is just concerned about only coming to the power. For that they can do anything; spill and misuse the blood of innocent as has been happing since 1947.”
“Though the bloodshed of Kashmiris continues since 1947, the valley has seen worst during Modi-Mehboba alliance. Despite spilling so much blood since coming to power, both Mehbooba and Modi seem to be unsatisfied,” she said.
The DeM general secretary said whatever Mehbooba or pro-India politicians have been saying or doing won’t deter Kashmiris from demanding freedom.
“No matter (what) India did or is doing, no matter how much time it takes, our belief is firm that one day Allah will free us from the illegal Indian occupation,” she added.
Meanwhile, Nasreen paid glowing tributes to two militants killed in Puwlama on Sunday.
