SRINAGAR: The department of tourism J&K has approved the promotion of its 106 employees in its Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting, a press note read. The DPC meeting under the chairmanship of its Director Mahmood A Shah was held after the gap of eight years in the department to approve the promotions.
The promotions were awarded to section officers, assistant tourist officers, senior receptionists, receptionists and head assistants.
Director tourism Kashmir while hailing the employees for their work said the promotions are part of the administrative process and also to appreciate and recognize the services of the employees.
“We held the DPC after a gap of eight years. It was the long pending demand of the employees which we addressed. We also addressed other issues of the employees,” said Shah. The employees thanked Chief Minister Mahbooba Mufti, Secretary Tourism M H Malik, Director Tourism Kashmir Mahmood A Shah and Deputy Director and Member DPC Riyaz Ahmad Beigh for approving the promotions and redressing their issues.
