Srinagar: Doctors Association Kashmir under the presidentship of Dr G M Mir Wednesday organized a health cum screening camp for media fraternity at Mir Complex, Nowgam.
A statement issued by DAK said that the camp was organized as the media fraternity was overburdened and hardly get any time for their own health problems.
Journalists from different organizations attended the camp in which routine baseline laboratory investigation, ECG, X Rays and ultrasonography was done in addition to routine clinical examination.
The doctors who attended the camp were Dr Tariq Paddar (Physician Specialist), Dr Manzoor Teli (Chest Physician),Dr SajadKathroo (Radiologist), Dr Arsalan Amir(Radiologist),Dr Mahim Sarwar(Sonologist),Dr Irfan Shams(ENT specialist)Dr Masood Rashid, (Critical Care Specialist),Dr Masood ul Hassan (Physician), Dr Sidarth Bindroo (Diabetologist), Dr Wasim Ashiq (Dental Surgeon), Dr Adil Malik (Dental Surgeon). The camp was jointly coordinated by Dr Mir Mushtaq and Dr Ijtaba Shafi.
Dr Mushtaq, spokesperson DAK, said that the event will be a routine affair and will be repeated twice a year. He said that DAK was committed to social service in addition to its own duties towards its community. He said DAK will also be organizing free medical camps at orphanages and for needy people.
