SRINAGAR: The monthly stipend of students pursuing Master of Technology (M Tech) course at the University of Kashmir has been stopped much to the anguish of students. The stipend was due to students who have qualified the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

A student said, “I have qualified GATE in 2016 and currently pursuing M Tech course. Our stipend has been stopped. Whenever we approach the authorities on the issue, they avoid us with several excuses,” he said adding “We are tired of making continuous visits to authorities’ office but nobody is helping us.”
