SRINAGAR: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik who was arrested from Dalgate on Friday and shifted to central jail, Srinagar, on a remand till 25th of this month was on Saturday brought to Modern Hospital where senior heart surgeon Dr Anil Bhan examined him, a part spokesperson said.
In a statement, the spokesperson said Malik’s artificial heart valve is not functioning properly and has developed some faults. He said doctor has advised JKLF chief to go for further medical examinations to ascertain and diagnose the exact position of the heart valve.
Meanwhile, on the directions of Malik, JKLF chief organiser Siraj Ud din Mir led a party delegation to the bereaved family of youth Tanveer Ahmad Wani in Beerwah area of Budgam. The delegation expressed solidarity with them.
Meanwhile, a delegation from Aanchar, Soura visited JKLF office and narrated the “horrible stories” of SOG, police and other forces who have “unleashed an unprecedented reign of terror” throughout the area.
“SOG and police on daily basis is raiding residences during night hours and terrorising the innocent people there and are using ladders to barge into houses. The people of the area are even being barred to move outside,” the statement quoted delegation saying.
Strongly condemning these “atrocities”, JKLF assured the delegation of every help and assistance.
