School teacher found dead in Kupwara forests

Kupwara: A school teacher, missing since 27th of May in Trehgam area in north Kashmir, was found dead inside dense forests on Tuesday morning. The teacher worked with the army Goodwill school in Kupwara.
Police said that the teacher, Bilal Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Rashid Sheikh, a resident of Dolipora Trehgam in Kupwara district, had gone missing since May 27.
His family’s search had failed to locate him. They later registered a missing report in the police station.
Senior superintendent of police in Kupwara, Shamshar Hussain, said that Sheikh’s body was completely decomposed and was partially consumed by wild animals. However, he said there was no bullet injury on the body. The body was later handed over to his family for last rites after postmortem. A case has been registered in this regard.
