Police arrests bank employee from office in Shopian

Shopian:Police on Wednesday arrested an official of Jammu and Kashmir Bank from Shopian’s Chitragam branch.
Amir Mohi-ud-din of Heff who is working as a relationship executive was arrested when he was performing his duties in the office. “They (police) barged into his (Amir) cabin and arrested him without letting us know about the grounds on which our employee was arrested,” said JK Bank’s branch manager Shafiq Ahmad.
Senior superintendent of police Shopian, S A Dinkar, told Kashmir Reader that the incident is being investigated and media would be informed after the investigations are completed.
Family sources told Kashmir Reader that they have not been informed why their son was arrested. “We were not allowed to meet him,” Amir’s father, Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Lone said.
He said that Amir is working in the bank for last four years and he was not involved in stone throwing.
Meanwhile, villagers from Heff told Kashmir Reader that police arrested seven youth from the village. Two among the arrested boys were released.
