SRINAGAR: The special session of JK legislative assembly to discuss extension of GST law in the state would resume from July 4 in the summer capital of the state. The assembly session, which began on June 17, was adjourned sine die.
“Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta in exercise of his powers under 3rd proviso to Rule 16 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of the Business in the J&K Legislative Assembly has called the 5th session of the 12th Legislative Assembly on Tuesday in Srinagar,” said an official handout.
As per the provisional calendar issued by the assembly secretariat, there will be four sittings on July 4, 5, 7 and 8 while as 6 July will be off day.
Similarly, the chairman, J&K Legislative Council, Anayat Ali in terms of Provison to Rule 16 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council has called the 116th Session of the J&K Legislative Council at Srinagar on July 4 at 11 am.
As per the Provisional Calendar issued by the Council Secretariat, there will be three sittings on July 4, 5 and 8July while as July 6 and 7 will be off days.
Meanwhile, in view of the Assembly session beginning from July 4, Gupta has cancelled all the meetings of Financial/House Committees and study tours/on spot inspections slated for the period from July 2 8 .
