Srinagar: At least 13 people ─ including five policemen ─ lost their lives, while 19 others were injured in a suicide blast that shook Shuhada Chowk in Pakistan’s Quetta’s Gulistan Road area on Friday, reports said.
According to DawnNews, the blast occurred close to Inspector General of Police Ehsan Mehboob’s office.
The blast was powerful enough that it was heard across the city, shattering windows of nearby buildings.
Security footage from the site shows a white car believed to have been involved in the attack.
TV footage showed several badly damaged cars and a road littered with broken glass.
Reports quoting officials said that 75 kilogrammes of explosives were used in the suicide attack.
