Thousands gather in south Kashmir to attend slain militant’s funeral

Srinagar: Thousands of people from different villages of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district Thursday have started marching towards the native villages of three local militants to participate in their Nimaz-e-Jinazas, sources said.
Witness told Kashmir Reader that people are rushing towards Kakapora and Aghhanpora Awantipora to attend the funerals of the slain militants.
Earlier three militants were killed during an encounter with government forces in Kakapora. They were identified as Shariq@ Hanzala, Majad Mir @ Abass both residents of Kakapora Pulwama and Irshad Ahmad of Aghanzpur Awantipora. The trio was killed in nightlong gunfight after forces blasted the house in which they were holed up at New Colony area of Kakapora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
