PULWAMA: A man was critically injured allegedly in forces firing near Drobgam village of Pulwama district on Monday evening. He was identified as Altaf Ahmed Dar of Pakharpora.
Dar immediately rushed to district hospital Pulwama where from he was referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar on the basis of severity of his injuries.
“He had been hit by a bullet in his back and his condition was critical when brought to hospital. So we referred him for specialised treatment to Srinagar,” a para-medic told Kashmir Reader.
Senior superintendent of police Pulwama Muhammad Aslam Choudhary said that the man was injured in the exchange of fire between forces and militants.
“Forces personnel were passing through the area and they came under fire from militants which was retaliated. In the cross firing a civilian was injured,” the police officer told Kashmir Reader.
