Malik prevented from attending Aali Masjid program

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik was on Tuesday arrested in Srinagar to prevent him from taking part in a program scheduled at Aali Masjid.
The program was organized by joint resistance leadership to commemorate late Moulvi Yousuf Shah on his 50th death anniversary.
Malik was taken into custody in the Abi Guzar area when he was proceeding to Aali Kadal in the Old City, sources said.
Earlier, Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was detained at his Nigeen residence to restrain him from attending the same program.
