Hajin: Amid massive demonstration, protesters on Sunday padlocked Para-medical staff in a room at Primary Health Centre Hajin in Bandipora district for an hour alleging that continuous absence of doctors in the hospital has been affecting patient care system badly.
Witnesses said that after locking up the Para-medical staff the protesters blocked Hajin-Srinagar road for hours together.
Locals said that labor pain of a patient waiting for a doctor for hours together compelled people to protest and lock down the hospital.
“This hospital is in shambles. Doctors come and go on their will, leaving patients at the mercy of medical assistants and today there was no one to look after a lady that forces us to lock the gate of the hospital,” said a protester Sami Ullah Wani.
