Srinagar: A complete shutdown is being observed in Zaingeer belt of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramnulla district Friday to mourn the death of two local militants. Shutdown is also being observed in Tral town for seventh consecutive day to mourn the killing of Hizb commander Sabzar Ahmad Bhat on Saturday.
Two local Hibz militants Aijaz Ahmed Mir and Basharat Ahmed Shiekh were killed in a gunfight with government forces at Nathipora area of Sopore on Thursday.
As per reports all the shops and business establishments remained closed while public transport remained thin on roads in Zaingeer belt of Sopore.
In Tral, town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, the shutdown has entered seventh day.
Sabzar along with his associate Faizan Muzaffar was killed during an encounter with forces in Saimhoh village of Tral.
The Tral area is witnessing complete shutdown since then, local sources said.
