Say no repairs for several years
Ganderbal: Hundreds of people from Gutlibagh village in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district Wednesday staged protest against district administration over dilapidated road conditions in the area.
The residents of the area blocked the Ganderbal-Kangan road bring traffic on the highway to a halt.
The protestors alleged that the district administration had not been paying heed to their repeated pleas as authorities have failed to macadamize the Gutlibagh road due which is lying in dilapidated state for past several years. In the absence of repairs, the roads dotted with potholes and are damaging vehicles.
The dilapidated road poses risk of accidents and gets water-logged after every rainfall, Sonaullah Khan, a resident of Gutlibagh said.
