Srinagar: Clashes erupted between government forces and students Monday after they took out a protest march in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district against the alleged highhandedness of forces personnel, sources said.
The march, which was taken out in Newa area, of Pulwama district was stopped by the forces.
Enraged over it, the students threw stones at forces personnel, who in retaliation baton charged them.
The clashes were going on when reports last came in.
Students, including girls, from schools and colleges have been protesting in Kashmir since April 15 after at least 60 students were injured in force’s action in Pulwama.
