Vohra in Delhi to discuss Kashmir protests

Srinagar: Amid the escalation of protests in Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra was summoned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Delhi, sources in the governor’s house said.
Ruling out that the Presidents rule would be imposed in Kashmir, the sources said the main agenda of the meeting was the simmering protests over the past few months.
“There is no question that state government will collapse or President’s rule will be imposed in the state,” sources said. “The law and order is the main concern”.
Sources said the meeting used to be a tradition before the Darbar move, but this time due to the escalation of protests in Kashmir, the meeting was called to discuss the rising anti-India protests in the Valley,.
Congress and National Conference has already demanded governor’s rule for the state.
The governor will also meet the National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and will discuss the prevailing situation in Kashmir.
