5TH ASIAN SQAY CHAMPIONSHIP
SRINAGAR: The students of International Islamic School Srinagar have brought laurels for the school and the state by bagging five gold medals in the recent Asian Sqay Championship held in Thailand, a statement issued by the school said
The management of the school congratulated its students Aayat Alam, Anas Ishtaq, Noor-ul-Haya, Rabeeh Chisti and Mehnoor Bashir for winning gold medals at the 5th Asian Sqay championship.
“It was for the first time that such a large number of students from a single school have won five gold medals in a row in an international championship,” it added.
With their performance at the event, the students have been selected for the upcoming junior world Sqay championship.
The Management expressed hope and satisfaction over the performance of the students and said that the winning streak will continue in the future. The management is also thankful to Salma (Mentor), who did a tremendous job in building the team.
