Singh calls for ensuring security

Home Minister of India, Rajnath Singh, said on Friday that states must ensure the safety of Kashmiris living in different parts of India.
“I appeal to Chief Ministers of all states to ensure that such incidents don’t happen, they are equal citizens of India, they have also greatly contributed to national security,” Singh said, adding that he had asked the home secretary to put out an advisory.
Rajnath condemned attacks on Kashmiri students in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh on Wednesday. Kashmiri students in another north Indian state, Utter Pradesh, have been asked to leave the state by a right-wing group.
Rajnath said, “in one or two parts of India, people misbehaved with Kashmiri youth”. “I appeal to all youngsters to treat them as their brothers,” Singh added.
