Srinagar: Vice Chairman Wakf Board, Peer Muhammad Hussain on Tuesday chaired a meeting to finalize arrangements for the ensuing auspicious occasion of Mairaj-ul-Aalam. The CEO of Wakf Board Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Secretary Muhammad Rafiq and other officers of the concerned departments attended the meeting.
The meeting was informed that in connection with Mairaj-ul-Aalam night-long prayers will be held on April 24 at various shrines and mosques in the Kashmir valley, which will be followed by supplications and sermons.
Hussain said the devotees will be treated to the glimpse of the holy relic of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) on all days after every mandatory congregational prayer at Hazratbal Shrine. The concluding function will be observed on April 28 (Friday).
He urged the concerned officials to make arrangements including supply of water and power, cleanliness and illumination in and around the main venue, besides medical facilities, adequate transport availability, parking, repair of roads leading to the Hazratbal Shrine.
The meeting also called for putting in proper arrangements at Asare-Shareef Kalashpora and Jenab Sahab Soura, which also witnesses rush of devotees on the festive occasion of Mairaj-ul-Aalam.
