Srinagar: A complete shutdown is being observed in Tral, Kulgam and Trehgam towns of Kashmir valley on Tuesday against the government forces action on the students, sources said.
In Kulgam a number of students were injured on Monday in protests after they clashed with forces. The students held massive protests against the force’s action on weekend in Pulwama College. People of the south Kashmir town observed complete shutdown today, local sources said.
In Tral town of south Kashmir, protesters pelted stones on forces after the arrest of two youth. This according to local sources resulted in chaos and shopkeepers pulled down their shutters.
Shutdown is also being observed in Trehgam area of Kupwara, against the arrest of some students on Monday.
