Srinagar: Many students Monday sustained injuries after clashes between them and government forces erupted in Shopian, Sopore and Kulgam against Pulwama College incident.
Sources said that forces used tear smoke shells against protesting students at Shopian, Sopore and Kulgam after hundreds of students hit the streets and tried to held march.
Many persons sustained injuries during these protests including a Photojournalist, Peerzada Waseem. Waseem was hit by a stone in north Kashmir’s Sopore.
Students were also teargassed near Babedemb area of Srinagar who were heading towards Lal Chowk, sources said.
Students in north and south of Kashmir held protests against force’s action on their colleagues in Pulwama few days back.
Reports of student’s protests have also reached from Anantnag, Tral and Pattan.
In Kashmir University, students also raised their voice against “force’s atrocities” on students in Pulwama.
Pertinently, more than 60 students were injured in force’s action in south Kashmir’s Pulwama town Saturday last.
