Baroosa resumes normalcy after five days

Ganderbal: Life returned to normal in Baroosa area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal  district on Saturday after a shutdown for five consecutive days against the killing of teenager Umar Farooq on Sunday.
All shops and other business establishments opened early Saturday. Public transport was seen plying on the roads and people were busy in purchasing essentials from market places.
On Sunday evening, as the poll parties were withdrawing  from Ganderbal area, the  BSF escorting the polling staff opened fire on protesters at Baroosa village after it was heavily stoned by the protesters. Umar suffered bullet injury in his abdomen and was shifted to SKIMS soura where Doctors declared him brought dead.
