Kashmir shuts for 2nd consecutive day against civilian killings

Srinagar: Complete shutdown is being observed across the valley Kashmir for the second day Tuesday against the killing of eight civilians and injuries to over hundred by government forces’ personnel in Badgam, Ganderbal and Srinagar districts on Sunday.
Call for the two-day strike had been given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.
The civilian killings happened when Srinagar Lok Sabha polls where held which recorded lowest ever percentage in last three decades.
All shops, business establishments and educational institutions are closed while as public transport is off the roads.
