Srinagar: National Conference Working President and former chief minister Omar Abdullah Monday criticized Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti after her party appealed the Election Commission to postpone the Anantnag by-poll, saying her brother Tassaduq Mufti’s statement is an “indictment of his sister Mehbooba government.”
“Tassaduq’s statement is an indictment of his sister Mehbooba Mufti’s government and its abject failure. How can the BJP not see this?” Omar wrote on his Twitter account.
Earlier, PDP member Tassaduq Hussain Mufti appealed to the Election Commission (EC) to postpone the bypolls in Anantnag.
Criticising Mehbooba Mufti, Omar said she should immediately resign as PDP government in the state has failed completely.
“PDP’s Tassaduq demands polls to be postponed. Has mainstream completely lost the battle?” Omar said in another tweet.
