New Delhi: The government of India on Monday told the Supreme Court that they were actively working on to develop an alternate of pallet guns, which was actively used by the forces in Kashmir valley.
Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi, while representing the government of India, told the apex court “Security forces are working on a secret weapon to disperse crowds.”
Rohtagi informed the court that in the past they have had experimented with Skunk water, laser dazzlers and high intensity noise devices to disperse the agitating crowd.
“None of the measures were successful in dispersing the mob” Rohatgi informed the apex court.
The apex court was also informed that forces were also exploring the option of using rubber bullets instead of pellet guns. (Agencies)
