Srinagar: According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rains and thundershowers are likely to continue for another 24 hours, In fact, higher reaches of the region will also record more spells of snow.
The only relief is the fact that the intensity of the weather activity will not be as intense as it was during the last 24 hours, Skymet said.
“An active Western Disturbance is still affecting Jammu and Kashmir but the system will soon move away from the region by Saturday. Till then, rains of varying intensity will continue that will keep the situation tense and any improvement in flood situation is not expected,” said Skymet Weather.
By the evening of April 8, weather will start clearing up and situation is likely to improve gradually. Rains will then take a back seat and clear sky conditions will make a comeback by Sunday.
Another Western Disturbance is likely to approach Jammu and Kashmir by April 14, Skymet added.
