Srinagar: Due to incessant rains since three days a flood like situation has arisen in Kashmir, official sources said on Thursday.
They said that experts are closely watching the water levels of river Jhelum and other tributaries in the valley to meet any emergency.
As per official sources the gauge reading of Jhelum and other tributaries was recorded at 5 PM as follows:
A – RIVER JHELUM
i. Sangam = 19.70 ft
ii. Ram Munshibagh = 17.70 ft
iii. Asham = 10.00 ft
B – TRIBUTARIES
i. Vishow Nallah at Khudwani = 7.16 m
ii. Rambiyara Nallah at Vachi = 1.91 m
iii. Lidder Nallah at Batkoot = 1.10 m
